My name is Liz Binion,  19th in education with CFBISD. I am a Carrollton Native and completed my primary and secondary education all with the CFBISD school District. I attended McCoy Elementary, Blalack Middle School and Newman Smith High School. Choosing to stay local and close to my roots, I completed my undergraduate studies at The University of North Texas and completed my Graduate studies, while teaching at RL Turner High School, obtaining my Masters of Education at Dallas Baptist University. I have three wonderful sons, Tyler, Cole and Cade, of which the 2 oldest children graduated from RL Turner High School. This year my newest addition arrived in the form of a Grandson named Nicolas, at which time I was honored to be given the additional title of “Lovie” to go along with Mom.

It has been and continues to be my honor to serve RL Turner High School and it community. Of my 19 years, 15 of those years I have had the privilege to share with the students of staff at RL Turner. Although the students and staff may change each year, one thing is for certain the Great Lion Pride never does!  It I am looking forward to meeting you soon and working together!

Hello Lions,

My name is Michael Miller and it is my pleasure to serve as the Assistant Principal for 10th, 11th, and 12th graders with the last name beginning with A - D, for R. L. Turner HS.  I am beginning my second year at Turner.   Before coming to Turner I served as an Administrator at Newman Smith High School for four years.  As a teacher I taught math, primarily Algebra and Geometry, at DeWitt Perry Middle School for twelve years.   Educationally, I graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Harding University and a Master’s degree in Education Administration from Lamar University.

I am part of a CFB family.  We have lived in district for 25 years.  My wife taught elementary at Blanton and is currently a librarian at Creekview High School.   All three of my children attended K thru 12 in the district and my grandson starts Kindergarten at a CFB elementary this year.

I believe all students can and will achieve with the proper support and guidance.  My passion is helping students find their passion and grow in it.  And while helping students  graduate is important, my vision is preparing students to be integral members of a thriving community.

I cut myself recently and noticed an interesting phenomena… I bleed Turner Blue!   I am excited to be here and looking forward to working with you.  Please call or email me if you have any questions or concerns.
