Dance introduces and deepens the understanding of the vocabulary and practical execution of dance movement specific to ballet, modern, contemporary, improvisation, hip hop, tap, and jazz. Students learn basic anatomy of the body and how to execute movement with proper alignment (posture). Students are provided with a physical conditioning program that they can pursue throughout their lives. The course provides students with healthy alternatives to non-verbal communication through movement exploration.
