Students Reel in Success at Josey Ranch
Last week, Coach Wilmot's Lifetime Recreation classes took a fishing trip to the Josey Ranch Sports Complex behind the Carrollton Library. Armed with artificial lures and the fishing techniques they learned in class, the young anglers aimed to hook some elusive bass.
The results were impressive. Between the two classes, over 40 largemouth bass were caught! For some students, it was their first time ever handling a fishing pole, and their excitement was palpable. It seems these budding fishermen and women have been "hooked" on the sport.
A big thank you to chaperones Juan Gomez and Carey Murawski for their assistance, and to Mother Nature for providing ideal weather conditions.
